Floating on Water

The concept of Floating Hotel with Catamaran-apartments was awarded at the Millennium Yacht Design Award (MYDA) 2015 and is meant to give the ultimate pleasure of spending leisure time at the inland water site without interfering into its harmony and natural beauty.

The team of architects and designers of studio Salt & Water has designed a concept consisting of two components. The first one is a central floating part with a reception, restaurant, ball-room, cafe and a staff room. The second component is the apartment itself – modern and innovative catamarans reachable via the bridge connected to the central part.

The catamaran includes a saloon, kitchen, hall with lockers, bathroom and a bedroom on the second tier. Also, there are two separate open space areas: a bridge where one can rest and tan, and a beach platform where one can swim, fish or do water sports. Big windows will allow enjoying the nature’s view from indoors. Such apartment can fit up to 4 people.

The fundamental concept of the designers lies in the slow pace of the catamaran and easy navigation, which allows enjoying the environment and taking on its rhythm.
