G-Rough, Italy

Relaxing on the sofa of 40’s

G-Rough hotel set in a 16th-century building near the historic Piazza Navona in Rome. The 5-story hotel is a project of entrepreneur and owner Gabriele Salini and his deceased friend and business partner Emanuelle Garosci. Inspired by the works of such masters as Gio Ponti, Ico Parisi, Silvo Cavatorta, Paolo Venini, Guglielmo Ulrich, Osvaldo Borsani, Archimede Seguso, added their own imagination, they presented a very interesting site consisted of 10 suites and apartments. They have also found a place for the penthouse with Sant’ Agnese church view on Piazza Navona.

The suites are all different, getting into one of them carries a visitor back in the period of 30’s, another one in the 40’s, but still remaining a feeling of a person of nowadays. Walls, floors, ceilings, original furniture – everything is from the different decades yet masterfully combined and generate a sense of unity.

Going down to the hotel G-bar, you can witness the exhibition of local artists and have a cup of delicious coffee before taking a walk down the historic streets of Rome.
