L’AND Vineyards, Alentejo, Portugal

The Night View

The L’AND Vineyards hotel was built among the vineyards in the heart of Alentejo. Its modern architecture shines brightly on the flat terrain of the region. Brazilian architect Marcio Kogan, famous for his innovative approach, succeeded to apply it during his work on the hotel project.

A central building consisting of reception, a spacious parlour, a library and a wine house – is a modern implementation of the atrium in Roman or Arabic styles. Besides, such a spirit is historically known to these territories. Not far away there is a museum town of Evora included on the UNESCO World Heritage. There one can admire numerous landmarks of the Roman, Arabic and Medieval cultures.

The beauty of the design of the whole L’AND Vineyards complex lies in simplicity and attention to details. The natural stone, wood, stylish fabrics and furniture along with multiple pieces of art create a sober luxury.

Suites are complemented with private patios, terraces with open fireplaces and cosy chairs providing with quiet leisure. The views from the windows to vineyards, lake, and the Medieval castle Montemor, which preserved on the hill, impress greatly.

What else could become unforgettable about this romantic atmosphere? A retractable ceiling is right above your bed for enjoying the view of the night sky, the natural beauty framed by man. Alentejo region is renowned for its especially clear sky, which was highlighted by the L’AND Vineyards hotel.
