L’AND Vineyards, Alentejo, Portugal

The night view

The L’AND Vineyards hotel was built among the vineyards in the heart of Alentejo. Its modern architecture shines brightly on the flat terrain of the region. Brazilian architect Marcio Kogan, famous for his innovative approach, didn’t fail to apply that during his work on the hotel project.

A central building containing a reception, a spacious parlor, a library and a wine house – is a modern implementation of the atrium in Roman or Arabic styles. Besides, such spirit is historically close to these territories: not far away there is a museum town of Evora included in the UNESCO World Heritage. There one can admire numerous landmarks of the Roman, Arabic and Medieval cultures.

The beauty of the design of the whole L’AND Vineyards complex lies in simplicity and attention to details. The natural stone, wood, stylish fabrics and furniture along with multiple pieces of art create a sober luxury.

Suites are complemented with private patios, terraces with open fireplaces and cozy chairs providing with quiet leisure. The views from the windows opening on the vineyards, lake, and the Medieval castle Montemor, which remained on the hill, are giving a strong impression.

What else could become unforgettable among all this romantic atmosphere? A man-made natural beauty – a retractable ceiling for enjoying the view of the sky at night directly from your bad. Alentejo region is notable for its especially clear sky, which was highlighted by the L’AND Vineyards hotel.
